Snowmobiling

Embark on either a self-guided or guided tour of Colorado's world-famous Maroon Bells. All guided tours include experienced, knowledgeable guides and hot refreshments. No experience necessary; a minimum age of three years old is required of passengers. 

Dog Sledding

One of the most beloved activities in Snowmass, dog sledding offers the thrill of a lifetime. Ride in a handmade sled pulled by a team of huskies along a ten-mile loop while you soak the breathtaking backcountry near the base of Mt. Daly. Your own “musher” will guide you through the forest during the approximately two hour tour. Afterwards, you will be treated to either lunch or dinner in the cozy, cabin restaurant. 

Cross Country Skiing

Traversing the 60 miles of cross-country ski trails within the Aspen Snowmass area is an essential thing to do for outdoor enthusiasts. The Aspen Nordic Center and the Snowmass Cross Country Center offers both lessons and rentals.

Snowcat Rides and Dinners

Take a Snowcat up to Aspen, Colorado's famous Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro in the scenic Highlands Ski area, where you'll savor traditional European cuisine like fondue and raclette. In Snowmass, visit the Lynn Brit Cabin and enjoy rustic American West cuisine. If you are looking for something more casual and family-friendly, then head to Burlingame Cabin where you'll indulge in an American BBQ-style dinner with ribs, burgers and s'mores for dessert. Reservations are required and recommended to make in advance.

Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding

Hitting the trails is undeniably the most popular thing to do in Aspen Snowmass, thanks to thousands of acres of picture-perfect terrain and your choice of cruisers, glades, steeps, terrain parks and halfpipes. Snowshoeing

Considered one of the more adventurous Snowmass activities, explore Aspen and Snowmass’s scenic backcountry on a guided snowshoe tour led by a naturalist from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. Your guide will teach you about the habitat of the Rocky Mountains and the local fauna. Guides include lift tickets, snowshoe rentals, guides, and basic instruction.
