Treat yourself to one of the finest ski resort areas in the United States, Snowmass has 3,128 acres of every kind of terrain, with 22 ski lifts. Your lift tickets are good for four mountains, totaling 4,900 acres, with 40 lifts serving over 300 trails. Don't know how to ski? Take advantage of award-winning ski and snowboard schools, which offer personal lessons that will enable you to tackle the mountain like a pro.
The Snowmass and Aspen area is more than just skiing and snowboarding, however. Take in one of the numerous cultural events like a film or a show at the historic Wheeler Opera House, or catch a concert or a fine arts exhibit. Dine on local cuisine at one of our gourmet restaurants or mountain cafés. The area also features shopping, historical exhibits, and numerous family activities. Aspen Alpine Guides: Aspen Alpine Guides provides cross-country and shoeshoeing tours through the Snowmass Mountains. All tours include snowshoes, poles, and daypack.
Belly Up, Aspen: A veritable institution, Belly Up, Aspen is where Aspen's citizens and tourists alike go to see live musical performances. The venue plays host to everything from jazz to hip-hop and electronic music.
Snowmass Cross-Country Ski Center: The Ski Center offers a full range of ski school programs; guided X-C, backcountry, snowshoe rentals, sled rentals, a retail shop, and repair services.
Winter Wild Things: Perfect for children, this educational program teaches participants fascinating facts about the local habitat and its critter inhabitants.
Snowmass Recreation Center: Escape the cold in this 18,000 square foot recreation center, which features rock walls, aerobics classes, and a full range of cardio and weight-lifting equipment.
Public NASTAR Races: Think you're Dale Earnhardt on skis? Try your hand at a race on the public NASTAR course. Prizes are distributed to participants who finish first, second, or third.
Paragliding: Have you already conquered the slopes on skis? Conquer them from the sky! Whether you're a beginner or veteran, you'll be gliding through the skies in no time at all.
First Tracks: Do you believe that the early bird catches the worm? Catch the first powder on the slopes by getting a First Tracks pass! Experience true serenity as you tackle your favorite runs without throngs of other skiiers.
